بررسی اثر سمیت سلولی ترکیب عصاره هیدروالکلی کلوس (Kelussia odaratissma Mozaff) و آویشن دنایی (Thymus daenesis Celak) بر روی رده سلول‌های سرطانی MCF-7

Introduction: Breast cancer is the second common cancer after lung cancer in women. Herbal preparations are used to treat centuries. The aim of this study was cytotoxic effect hydroalcholic extract from Combinatiin of Kelussia odaratissma Mozaff and Thymus daenesis Celak on MCF-7 cancer cells line.

Mateerial and method: MCF-7 cancer cells and Fibroblast normal cells were cultured in DMEM medium contaninig with Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) and Antibiotic.The cells exposed to different doses of hydroalcholic extract from Combination of Kelussia odaratissma Mozaff and Thymus daenesis Celak (0/156, 0/312, 0/625, 1/25, 2/5 mg/ml) and were incubated for 24, 48 and 72 hours. After the incubation period, modifid colorimetric MTT method was used to determine the cellular toxicity of the extract.

Results: The results of the MTT test showed that Hydroalcholic extract from Combinatiin of Kelussia odaratissma Mozaff and Thymus daenesis Celak has dose-dependedent and time-dependent anti cancer effect on MCF-7 cancer cells. The highest percentage of cell death was observed after 72 h incubation and increase in extract concentration(p< 0/05). extract did not show significant cytotoxicity on Fibroblast  normal cells.

Discussion and Conclusion: Hydroalcholic extract from Combinatiin of Kelussia odaratissma Mozaff and Thymus daenesis Celak has cytotoxic effect on MCF-7 cancer cells, However this extract does not have any cytotoxic effect on Fibroblast  normal cells. It seems to come with further research, and utilizes its are compound in cancer treatment.
