Abstract Introduction: Cyclophosphamide, anti-cancer drugs which are used in chemotherapy. Purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Tribulus terrestris extract on sex hormones in male rats after treatment with cyclophosphamide. material and Method: In this experimental study 56 adult male rats weighing 200-220 g and aged 10-12 week were randomly divided into : control, sham and experimental groups. Experimental group 1 received 5 mg cyclophosphamide intraperitoneally and Experimental groups 2 and 3 received 20 and 40 mg Tribulus terrestris extract orally . Experimental groups 4 and 5 received cyclophosphamide and Tribulus terrestris extract . After 8 weeks Sex hormones concentrations were measured. ANOVA test was used for data analysis . Results: The results showed that serum concentrations of FSH, LH and testosterone in the cyclophosphamide group compared with the control group were decreased significantly. but the concentration of these hormones in experimental groups 2 and 3 were received Tribulus terrestris extract compared with the control group were increased. Also the serum concentrations of these hormones in groups 4 and 5 were received cyclophosphamide and Tribulus terrestris extract compared with cyclophosphamide group were increased. Conclusion : Tribulus terrestris extract causes a reduction of cyclophosphamide effects on cells are producing sex hormone. This effect is probably due to the antioxidant property of Tribulus Terrestris.

Introduction: Attachment theory is one of the most well-known products of contemporary psychology. Infancy is one the most important stages of one’s life. Mother’s attachment to the infant could have a long-lasting influence on the child’s future. Considering this, the present research seeks to focus on mother-child attachment. Material and method: The present research is of a descriptive-analytical type which aims to investigate the degree of mother’s attachment to her infant. The research population was, in fact, all mothers who had an infant and the sampling method was randomized clustering. The instrument utilized in this study was Simon’s mother-child attachment questionnaire. Subsequent analyses were done through independent t-test, spearman correlation test and ANOVA. The p level was set at 0.05.Results: The mean age of mothers in this study was estimated to be 27.18±5.76. The mean attachment score was 156.96±13.75. The highest attachment score belonged to the supportive sub-scale (41.78±6.29). According to the findings, a significant correlation was found between: mother-infant attachment and the place of residence (p<0.001), family income and attachment (p<0.001), mother’s age and attachment (p<0.001). Conclusion: A significant correlation exists between mother-child attachment and income, mother’s age and educational level. Such correlations need to be taken into account in planning for mothers’ mental health and instructional courses which aim to improve mothers’ attachment to their infant.

Introduction: In patients with dyspnea inhalers are important drugs which are used in them. The aim of this study was evaluation the method of use of inhalers in patients considering the demographic factors such as age, sex and educational levels. Methods: This study is a Double blind observational study, Which is conducted during 2009 – 2011. The patients were selected on simple sampling manner from the patients who attended to the clinics (peymanieh and Motahari) and patients who had been admitted in internal medicine ward in peymanieh hospital in Jahrom (Iran). After obtaining informed consent at the first step a demographic questionnaire filled by one of the researchers. After that in second step the second researcher observed the manner of inhaler use by the patient and he recorded the right or wrong manner of the spray using manner. All the information analyzed by SPSS soft ware. Results: In this study 468 patients were studied. 43.6% of the patients were using inhalers in correct manner. Form these 204 patients (who used sprays in correct manner) 95.1% have had education about the use of inhaler. Men and the patients with older ages were more in the groups with incorrect manner. It seems that educational level has not any role in the manner of inhaler use. Conclusion: Physicians and other persons with therapeutic duties should dedicate more time for training the patients in using the inhalers.

Abstract:
Introduction: The role of plants in reducing blood fats and thus reduction the risk of heart-coronary disease is known. The main aim of this study is effect of oats and barley extract on blood factors and atherosclerosis in adult rats.
Methods: In this study, 50 female Wistar rats weighing approximately 300±20 gram were purchased from Animal House of Jahrom. Then, they are divided into 5 groups with 10 rats including control group (without any receiving any sustenance), instance group (1% weight of food is cholesterol), Experimental 1 group (daily 1% weight of food is cholesterol and also barley extract with BW dosage, 125mg/kg), Experimental 2 group (daily 1% weight of food is cholesterol and also oat extract with BW dosage, 125mg/kg), Experimental 3 group (daily 1% weight of food is cholesterol and also barley extract and oat extract each with BW dosage, 62.5mg/kg). Then, at the end of the experiment, the animals were bled and HDL, total cholesterol, triglycerides were studied.
Results: The results show that HDL concentration in all experimental groups had significant decrease compared to the control group. Cholesterol levels in the experimental group received the extract of barley and oats simultaneously, had significant reduction compared to the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion: According to above results of this study, it can be stated that barley and oat extract simultaneously cause reduction of blood fats and cholesterol, so simultaneous use of these extracts is recommended. Also, barley extract has more useful effect than oat extract in reduction of blood fats.

Background: Diabetes disorder in organ's function via oxidative stress. In this research, the protective effect of vitamin E and selenium "as antioxidant" on liver function were investigeted in diabetic rats. Materials and methods: 35 adult male rats (Wistar) weighing 180 ± 20g divided randomly into control, sham and 3 experimental groups (E, S and E+S). All of groups except control were fed 140 cc fructose 10% as a daily for 9 weeks. Control group without treatment, sham were injected 0.20 cc of physiologic serum and and group (S) were injected 0.20 cc of selenium solution (0.5 mg/kg/b.wt) intraperitoneally. group (E) were gavaged 0.20 cc of vitamin E solution (0.5 mg/kg/b.wt) and Group (E + S) gavaged vitamin E and were injected selenium (0.5mg/kg/b.wt) for 9 weeks. Blood sampling of all groups and were separated for biochemical analyzes. Then liver was disected and fixed in 3% formalin. hbafty Automatic Tissue processor with 5 micrometer and were examined by light microscope. The sections with 5 micron thickness were prepared by microtome after passage in Tissue processor automatically. They were studied on light microscope. Using statistical software, SPSS 17, data were analyzed by ANOVA and groups were compared by Touki test at a significance level (P <0.01) were compared. Fingings: The mean levels of Aspartataminotransfrase, Alkalinphosphat and blood glucose concentrations in sham group were increased compared to control and in treatments groups, especially (E + S) decreased significantly(p<0.01). Histological study showed the changes as hydropic cytoplasm, lymphocytic invasion around the portal triad and necrosis in the sham group but none observed in the treatment groups, especially group(E+S). Conclusion:These results show that vitamin E and selenium play a crucial protective role against diabetes type II and using them simultaneously, due to synergic effect, better result obtaine. Vitamin E and selenium compensate partially the changes caused by diabete II and the combined use of them have better operation via synergistic effect.

Background & Objectives: Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a tumorigenic herpes virus and belong to DNA viruses that infects and persists in B lymphocytes in the majority of humans and also is associated with a portion of cases of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). The aim of the present study was to investigate the presence of Epstein-Barr virus in Hodgkin's lymphoma through EBERs in situ hybridization (EBERs-ISH) in children Iranian. Materials & Methods: In this study, 16 Hodgkin's lymphoma tissue samples formalin-fixed paraffin embedded blocks collected from the archive of departments country hospitals. Samples were obtained from the tissue cancer biopsies, The presence of RNA transcripts encoded by Epstein-Barr virus were analyzed with EBERs in situ hybridization (EBERs-ISH). Data analyzed by SPSS16 statistical software, Fisher's exact test. Results: The presence of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) in 16 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded samples of Hodgkin's disease (HD) was investigated by EBERs in situ hybridization. 12 samples were from male (75%) and 4 samples were from female (25%). Age range of Patients was 4 -12 years (with a median of 8 years). In 12 specimens (75%) Epstein-Barr virus was present. The positive cases included 9 male samples (75%) and 3 female samples (75%). Fisher's exact test showed statistically no significant difference between sex (p-value: 1.000). Epstein-Barr virus was present in different subtypes of Hodgkin's lymphoma. 80% (4 of 5) of Mixed Cellularity (MC), 67% (6 of 9) of Nodular Sclerosis (NS) and 100% (2 of 2) of Lymphocyte Predominance (LP) subtypes were positive. There is not significant different between subtypes (p-value: 0.826). The presence of Epstein-Barr virus in the age groups of 4-7 and 8-12 years were 71.5% (5 of 7) and 77.8% (7 of 9), respectively. There is not significant different between age groups (p-value: 1.000). Conclusion: Study results show strong association between Epstein-Barr virus and Hodgkin lymphoma in Iranian children. Epstein-Barr virus and Hodgkin lymphoma association in Iranian children show similar pattern with other developing countries.
