This study investigated the role of Internet addiction on depression mediated by social isolation in high school students in Jahrom.<br>Method: The present study was a correlational study that was conducted on 200 students (100 girls and 100 boys) with an average age of 16 years. Sampling was done using a multistage cluster method. Research tools included Young's Internet Addiction, Beck Depression, and Social Isolation Questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression.<br>Findings: The results showed that Internet addiction is a significant predictor of depression and social isolation. Social isolation was also a strong predictor of depression. These two variables explained a total of 25% of the variance in depression. The mediating role of social isolation in the relationship between Internet addiction and depression was confirmed.<br>Conclusion: The findings indicate that Internet addiction and social isolation are factors affecting adolescent depression. These results emphasize the need for educational interventions to manage Internet use and improve social relationships. افسردگی از اختلالات شایع روان‌شناختی در نوجوانان است. این پژوهش به بررسی نقش اعتیاد به اینترنت بر افسردگی با میانجی‌گری انزوای اجتماعی در دانش‌آموزان مقطع متوسطه شهر جهرم پرداخت.<br>روش: مطالعه حاضر از نوع همبستگی بود که بر روی 200 دانش‌آموز (100 دختر و 100 پسر) با میانگین سنی 16 سال انجام شد. نمونه‌گیری به روش خوشه‌ای چندمرحله‌ای انجام گردید. ابزارهای پژوهش شامل پرسشنامه‌های اعتیاد به اینترنت یانگ، افسردگی بک و انزوای اجتماعی بودند. داده‌ها با استفاده از ضریب همبستگی پیرسون و رگرسیون تحلیل شدند.<br>یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد اعتیاد به اینترنت پیش‌بین معنادار افسردگی و انزوای اجتماعی است. انزوای اجتماعی نیز پیش‌بین قوی افسردگی بود. این دو متغیر مجموعاً 25% از واریانس افسردگی را تبیین کردند. نقش میانجی انزوای اجتماعی در رابطه بین اعتیاد به اینترنت و افسردگی تأیید شد.<br>نتیجه‌گیری:یافته‌ها حاکی از آن است که اعتیاد به اینترنت و انزوای اجتماعی از عوامل مؤثر بر افسردگی نوجوانان هستند. این نتایج بر ضرورت مداخلات آموزشی برای مدیریت استفاده از اینترنت و بهبود روابط اجتماعی تأکید دارد. https://jmj.jums.ac.ir/article_729489_99ca26306446425b5a3e6b751b482d11.pdf
